Sarah Dusek is a venture capitalist and co-founder of Enygma Ventures, a venture fund investing in women-led businesses. After selling her own company Under Canvas in 2018, the US’s leading glamping company, for more than $100 million, Sarah launched Enygma Ventures a US based fund to create access to capital for some of Africa’s most talented female entrepreneurs to contribute towards rectifying the great funding imbalance. In 2017 Sarah became an EY Entrepreneurial Winning Woman and Under Canvas received a spot on the coveted Inc. 5000 list. In 2024 Sarah was recognised as a Real Leaders Impact leader and Enygma was listed as one of the top 100 best meaningful businesses. Sarah is also the author of “Thinking Bigger: A Pitch Deck Formula For Women Who Want To Change the World” (Georgetown University Press, Sept 2 2024) a book that aims to demystify the funding process, making it easier for women to understand the rules of the funding game and get access to much needed capital.
