- Japan: Update as of May 12, 2020 – After the adoption of a supplementary USD 240 billion in spending last week, the Japanese government is set to begin deliberating a second supplementary budget this week, focused on financial support for the unemployed, students, and impacted businesses.
- South Korea: Update as of May 12, 2020 – where soccer and baseball leagues have resumed operations, originally planned to begin reopening schools and some business next week. However, an uptick in cases may force a government rethinking.
- Columbia: Update as of May 12, 2020 – In the coming weeks, Colombia expects further announcements on digitalization policy, after President Duque named a new ICT Minister last week.

- Greater China: Update as of May 12, 2020 – On May 21 and 22, respectively, China’s conference of political advisers and national legislature will convene for their annual meetings, known colloquially as the “Two Sessions”, to discuss the country’s economic and social development goals for 2020. USTR Lighthizer and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He reportedly spoke via phone on May 8 to discuss progress in implementing the Phase 1 trade deal. Within the next two weeks, President Trump is expected to report on whether or not China is fulfilling its obligations under the Phase 1 trade deal, according to comments he made last week.
