DWEN Members on the State of the Modern Woman Entrepreneur

Following the pandemic, we’ve found our “after” doesn’t necessarily match our “before.” Now is different because we are different. This new era demands a new definition of the modern experience for women entrepreneurs. And this time, we’re defining it before anyone else does it for us. (Again.)

Continuing the convo we started at SxSW, our next Empower Hour gathers firebrands – entrepreneurs Monica Peraza O’Quigley and Katina Kenyon, DWEN members and founders of the DWEN Austin chapter, with our host and DWEN member, Kathryn Rose. Join us – and weigh in! – as we explore how shifts in our relationships to achievement, impact and influence change our needs and motivations as business owners.

About Monica Peraza O’Quigley, CEO of Just

Monica Peraza O’Quigley is CEO of Just and co-founder of the DWEN Austin Chapter. Born and raised in Mexico City, Monica Peraza-O’Quigley is a serial social entrepreneur, founding six companies and two non-profits to date. In 2005, Monica moved to Austin, Texas, where she founded two non-profits while envisioning her fourth company, alegreea.com, whose mission was to become the largest marketplace of women designers and artisans from Mexico. As a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, Monica created Just to provide access to markets to Women Creators through Just, and developed The Teresa App that was specifically designed for Women Artisans.
